Feeling the Super Bowl Stress? Here’s How to Handle It

Are you feeling the Super Bowl stress and need a few tips to make it through the occasion?

If so, you’re not alone.

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest sporting events, which began back in 1967.

It’s safe to say; everyone loves to celebrate this occasion in their own way. But celebrations will look a little different this year since COVID concerns are still looming about.

The very thought of trying to put together a virtual game day party stresses people out.

Or perhaps you’re a huge fan of one of the teams, and the suspense is killing you?

Super Bowl festivities are supposed to be fun—not stressful and chaotic.

No matter where you stand, we’ve got a few tips to make this Super Bowl Sunday as chill as possible.

Game Day Snacks

Nothing contributes to game day stress like being stuck in the kitchen during the game, especially when you hear cheering or booing happening in the background.

Gameday snacks are a huge part of any game day celebration, whether you’re tailgating or throwing a party at your home. Here are some simple appetizers you can whip up in no time.

Simplify this part of the day with some quick but delicious appetizers.

Chips and Salsa

It’s not too hard to whip up a batch of homemade salsa, especially if you have a blender or a food processor. Simply place all of the ingredients in there, give them a good chop, and then mix and season to your liking.

If you’re a chips-and-salsa connoisseur, you can elevate your dish with homemade chips—just cut your tortilla and toss them in some hot oil.

If you don’t have a blender or a food processor, you could always go old school and chop it all by hand, but in light of keeping things stress-free, don’t forget you can pick it up at the local grocery store as well.

Football and sliders go hand in hand—it seems like you can’t have one without the other.

Here’s how you minimize this process:

  • Grab a pack of Hawaiian rolls and cut the entire thing in half
  • Place it on a baking sheet
  • Add your pre-cooked meat on top with cheese or anything else you’d like
  • Put top piece of rolls on
  • Place it in the oven for 10 min
  • Ta-da—you’ve got 12 sliders for the party

One of the best aspects of this recipe is that it’s customizable. You can use burger patties, ground meat (think sloppy joe-ish), chicken, or any other meat you choose.

Mini BBQ Meatballs

Another simple party appetizer. You can buy this pre-made at just about any grocery store, but Trader Joe’s seems to be a crowd favorite. All you have to do is toss these babies in the crockpot with some barbecue sauce and let them simmer for a while (you can use the oven as well).

When they’re done cooking, take them out, and place them on a serving plate with toothpicks.

Grab some chips, lay them on a tray, and top with your favorite toppings for an easy game day appetizer. You can use chicken, shrimp, steak, or even go vegan with meat-free options.

It doesn’t get much easier than this, folks. Add your personal touches and prepare to wow your family and virtual guests.

Now that we’ve got food out of the way let’s look at the guest list.

The Virtual Invite List

Get your virtual party-list together and send out your invites, as well as the meeting code needed to join the festivities. Zoom is an excellent option because you can include up to 100 people.

You can spruce things up with a contest, games, or a giveaway during halftime. This will bring everyone together and make it seem like less of a distant occasion.

Keeping Your Chill During a Close Game

If your team finally made it to the Superbowl, it’s a given that tensions may run high during the game. This means you could use a little bit of chill during the game, and CBD can help you achieve this.

There’s much to choose from, but some of our favorite CBD products to pair with gameday are CBD Gummies and CBD Vape Pens.

The thing about CBD gummies is that they come in low concentrations, so you can achieve the perfect balance between socializing and chilling to watch the game. CBD gummies are non-psychoactive since our broad-spectrum gummies are free of THC, and some of the varieties contain an array of vitamins and essential nutrients.

CBD vape pens are loved by many because they’re simple, convenient, and discreet. Sure, you can say the same about gummies, but the sweet advantage of vape pens is a higher bioavailability rate.

The cannabinoids from vape pens enter the bloodstream through the lungs, providing an almost instantaneous effect. Whereas when you consume CBD gummies, you have to wait for them to travel through the digestive tract and absorb into your bloodstream, taking anywhere from 30-120 minutes.

Either way, they’re both tasty, effective options for you to keep your chill during the biggest gaming event of the year.

Ready to Say Goodbye to Super Bowl Stress?

People are looking to connect more than ever. Being stuck in the house for months has left everyone with the urge to gather and connect.

It’s still not entirely safe to gather in large groups, but this doesn’t mean you have to put your party on hold. It only means you have to get a little creative in your approach.

While we’re on the subject of Super Bowl stress, who are you with this Super Bowl Sunday—the Kansas City Chiefs or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
